Idiots!

Those "myriads of people" you mentioned haven't done anything except to tell me that THEY want me to do something that has no benefit for ANYONE.

They ignore the science that masks don't prevent you from catching the virus. Masks only prevent people from shedding the virus via moisture droplets.

This is THE SCIENCE behind masks.

Now how about SOME MORE SCIENCE. The science that says that if you aren't shedding the virus you don't need a mask to prevent it.

That's not something I made up, it's reality. It's fact. It's physical science that you cannot infect someone if you're not infectious.

The ONLY basis that has been formulated for wearing a mask is based on FEAR that someone MIGHT BE infectious. So, rather than provide due process to that person where you prove that the specific person is infectious, the weak and afraid demand that everyone be considered infectious until they can prove they aren't.

That's not the way it works.

I understand that you and the rest are afraid. That's insufficient to strip me of my Rights unless it's PROVEN that I'm infectious with CV19. As of this moment in time, there's no proof of that.

And let's just drop the "you could be asymptomatic" crap before it starts. I don't have to prove I'm not infectious, you have to prove I am. Your burden of proof cannot be switched to me.

^^^^^^

I usually agree with your logic but there are statements you've made that I don't agree with. You probably don't give a shit but I'll tell you anyway.

Many people are not just concerned about themselves but also concerned for their loved ones. People are afraid and with good reason, you can't deny 69,000 dead.

If your argument is that the government and politicians overplayed their authority, I fully agree! You can blame the media and TDS as well. Closing down our economy was shear madness, all the money spent by the government was shear lunacy.

The least restrictive remedy should be used when ordering people to comply with an edic unfortunately these orders fail, they're all encompassing, have no boundaries, infringe on civil liberties using implied authority under the veil of " state of emergency " and insult the intelligence of our citizens.

IMO the burden of proof doesn't fit here. The testing resources don't exist to the extent that could prove or disprove an infection instantaneously and is a disingenuous argument. I think enforcing wearing a mask in a confined area where people congregate makes sense and is not that intrusive and could save lives. You may not be afraid of bullets but they will still kill you. Like I've posted before wearing a mask is both defensive and offensive, offensive being the key word. If in a confined area, shopping for instance, all hands have to be on board or it doesn't work efficiently or effectively.

Kind of reminds me of how long it took to outlaw DWI, OUI, lots of people died till we changed the rule.

efficient= doing things right
effective= doing the right things at the right time.

Gee! I didn't call anyone a name but standing by for the onslaught.

A more destructive pandemic is on the horizon, lawsuits.

Yes, and look where the two parties stand on the lawsuit issue now being taken up in Congress.

I will humbly submit that one party is more beholden to trial lawyers (think John Edwards)

;) ;)

than the other and the proof will be in who want the least protection for business...

Willie Sutton sez: THAT'S! where the money is...

It was a "perfect" answer because I'm a stable genius.

Another non-answer. No surprise.And you’re about as stable as a three-legged stool.....with a broken leg.

I suggest you change your Fauci status from expert, to at best, questionable, due to his contradicting statements.

Lots of people still die. It did nothing to alter people's behavior but it did increase the criminalization of behavior by subjective, rather than objective measures.

This made abuses by individual officers more tenable and mostly had the effect of enriching defense lawyers and city coffers as people could be intimidated into pleading to a lesser charge for an exorbitant fine.

It's no different than speed cameras which are nothing but a revenue generating scheme.

When people make statements, and one contradicts the other, which statement should you believe, and take as gospel?

That includes ‘experts’.

I would do my due diligence, research, look back and see if the person has made corrections, and then address it.

That's as good of an answer you're going to get from anyone/B] when you present a hypothetical with zero context.

I've been a strong advocate for tort reform for at least 30 years. Both parties are fucked up! But I do lead right, capitalism over socialism. Our republic is going socialist: 26 trillion in debt, boggles the mind.

If you don’t know the contradictory statements Fauci has made, then you have no value in this conversation.

Wrong Thread?

I do. Which of his contradictory statements do you have the most problems with?

I beg to differ, but three-legged stools are inherently more stable than four-legged chairs.

:D

But the merchant sells by the leg.

I like to think of the three-legged stool of life, liberty and property.
You throw God into that and all you get is an unholy mess...

Still waiting for an answer to my question.

You got one and a very detailed one at that. If you're just going to badger me because you lack comprehension skills then there is no reason to further respond to you.

Nothing but a non-answer. And a non-explanation to your non-answer.

Look up ‘can’t’, and ‘won’t’, in your Funk & Wagnell’s. There’s a difference.
(Hint, you are a won’t)

Have a day.

I don't deny anything. Hundreds of thousands of people die every year in the US. Last year alone there were more than 32,000 deaths from influenza. No one shut down the entire planetary economy over it. We don't wear masks in public because of it either.

Requiring that we do so now is nothing but hysteria that is DENIED BY THE SCIENCE.

A mask won't protect you AT ALL. All it takes is you touching something that has the virus on it and then touching your face. All it takes for you to transmit it to someone else is to touch your face and then touch another surface that someone else touches while the virus is still active.

But mandating by fiat that everyone wear an ineffective piece of cloth doesn't insult anyone's intelligence?

The fact that there's no way to know if someone is contagious by looking at them is no reason to deny everyone's rights under pain of punishment. Which is a LOT different than doing what makes you personally feel comfortable because "it makes sense" to you.

Intrusion is still intrusion. It doesn't matter how much or how little, it's still a violation of my "space".

Kind of reminds me of how long it took to outlaw DWI, OUI, lots of people died till we changed the rule.

Not really on point because making DUI illegal was an act of the legislature, not the governor by fiat.

efficient= doing things right
effective= doing the right things at the right time.

Why does this have to be mutually exclusive? Shouldn't we being the right things the right way, rather than doing stuff to make people feel better?

Gee! I didn't call anyone a name but standing by for the onslaught.

When government acts outside the law, they should expect to be called on it. When people act outside the law, they should also expect to be called on it.

That's the nature of the game.

Look up "argument ad infinitum" and get back to me when you figure it out which will be never because you can't even understand a simple answer to an impossible question.

You're a perfect example between someone who can admit he made a mistake and someone who cannot even admit that he refuses to admit he made a mistake.

Please point out my mistake. I mean besides responding to both of your nonsensical blatherings.

Failure to answer the fucking question and then dodging it by attempting to deflect to circular nonsense while thinking you're being so clever about it that no one noticed.

Do you have any other obviously stupid questions you want to ask?

That you are a self-centered asshole was established here a long time ago.

Ass. The word you keep not using is Ass.

Which, BTW, has nothing to do with the fact that you seem to believe that your bleeding heart is my problem.
