I had this idea last year, and just never followed up on it. Y'all remember this old poem:

Monday's child is fair of face,
Tuesday's child is full of grace,
Wednesday's child is full of woe,
Thursday's child has far to go,
Friday's child is loving and giving,
Saturday's child must work for a living,
But the child that's born on the Sabbath day
Is fair and wise and good and gay.

How 'bout if each of us take a day, and write our story based on that particular character trait?

Anyone interested?

edited to add:

Days already assigned:

Monday: Sexxy Vixen
Tuesday: Goldeniangel
Wednesday: Cloudy
Thursday: McKenna
Friday: Remec
Saturday: Dranoel
Sunday: Colleen Thomas

Schedule:

Monday (Sexxy Vixen): Submitted 6/24, to be posted 6/28

Tuesday (Goldeniangel): Submitted 6/27, to be posted 7/1

Wednesday (Cloudy): Submitted 7/1, to be posted 7/5

Thursday (McKenna): Submitted 7/4, to be posted 7/8

Friday (Remec): Submitted 7/8, to be posted 7/12

Saturday (Dranoel): Submitted 7/11, to be posted 7/15

Sunday (Colleen Thomas): Submitted 7/15, to be posted 7/19

Does that give everyone enough time? And, does it give Laurel enough time, do you think?

I am. I'll take Sunday, if'n it's okay?

That sounds like a neat idea for a chain.

I'd be interested in participating. :)

I'd like to do Monday (if you aren't doing it cloudy) or Saturday, if that's okay (either'd be fine).

Yay!!!

Of course it's fine.

When we have a couple more people in it, I'll get a schedule drawn up - will that work?

What "day" do you want?

I'll just take whichever's left, I guess, after everyone else chooses.

That's a really clever idea, I must say, I'm quite fond it; I'll leave the participation in it to more regulars here, though.

I edited my first post to show which days. Either one is perfectly fine for me. Whichever you wish. :)

I can't stop laughing over this. I just keep reading it and thinking, So that's why!

~ Sunday child, easily amused and in need of serious professional help I think....:D

What will the title of the chain be?

I'm kinda stumped there....it should be "(title) ch. X: Monday's Child," but what the actual title should be, I'm at a loss.

Any ideas?

I haven't actually written anything for Lit yet, so I thought it would be best to let more experienced individuals write.

Also, the Sunday play-on-words would have been more suited to my interests, shall we say.

Works for me. What do the rest of y'all think?

Dance of Days works for me too. I suck at titles, so I wouldn't be able to suggest anything.

Should we put the line of the poem for our day in italics at the beginning of the story?
