Idaho Mayor proposes “Tent City” as a solution to unaffordable housing prices

the very idea this mayor could propose the suggestion that those facing the worst brunt of the covid epidemic–sick staff, overworked staff, at risk staff, burnt-out worn-out staff–should live in tents and use a public toilet in the park is...i have no words, actually.

it's like m.a.s.h

Boy did he ever drop that one. Every time I think he couldn't say something more stupid....boom. He proves me wrong

Not at all, the Scandies are more capitalistic, less regulated economy than we do.

Oh did you think capitalism was not having social services???

You might want to put the (D)ipshit juice down and re-visit a basic civic/polic sci class.

No, it's like they don't want those people, so those people need to leave.

You get priced out? Time to go, it's not fucking rocket science.

RAPEY and emobo finally get soemthing right. They couldn't afford to live in the nice part of Cali so one moved to the ghetto and one moved to BFE.

Good on ya, gents!

Santa Cruz isn't nice? I afforded that for almost a decade.

Just got tired of being overcharged to live in a shit hole, no matter how many times you lie about it to make yourself feel better about paying that premium.

the very first people to complain will be those people in the million dollar houses when they have no maids, people to deliver pizzas, people to deliver meals, people to deliver anything at all, people to bus their tables at restaurants, people to police their neighborhoods, etc, etc, etc.

M.A.S.H., of course, is set in a government-funded facility.
