ID tags

what if any is the opinion on collared pups wearing ID tags in the general public. I meant like military style/pet tags with name and mistress information
engraved. Thanks in advance. I should point out I am a collared pup so I would
be wearing the tags.

Are you talking about male pups? I am of two opinions. One; the general watchword is Consent. if the public has not consented to watch your sexual shenanigans, then you are forcing the role of voyeur on people in a non-consensual way.

However people wearing pet collars has been a counter-cultural fashion choice for what, forty years now? So if your pet is at all unconventional in appearance, I think folks would shrug it off.

If he's a working guy, a slightly longer chain that he can hide under his shirt collar is a good idea.

Um hi. Okay. Um Perhaps I should have been a little clearer. I'm a pup and I have a mistress. I wanted tags but have not worked up to them in her eyes.
I wondered if ordering the tags myself would be okay or would it be disrespectful to her.

Ask her. Respectfully.

"Mistress, I know I haven't yet earned them, but it would help me be a better pup if I had them hanging somewhere so I could see what I was working towards."

I'm kinda wondering though-- who the hell tests a pup before tagging them? You take go to the pound, see if the tail wags the way you like it and take 'm out for a walk. If the pup seems docile and trainable, you take a chance.

If it turns out it doesn't work, you bring 'em back to the pound.

That's the way I would do it, anyway.

Thank you. That is very good advice. I will ask her and respectfully ofcourse.
My Mistress likes to do things her own way and at her own pace. I, on the other hand, can be impatient. I abide by all of her decisions so if she says no, not yet, then I will ofcourse wait.
