Icon explanation

I'm new to the site. Can anyone help with a key to the icons (H and W and so on)? Also where would I find a list of stories with the rating for each story.

As for a list of stories, look to the index page. There you can search stories by topic, author, etc. There is also a link to "Top Stories" that gives a list by rank.
