There was a short rattling as they entered the outer stratosphere and they plunged right into the clouds seconds later. This was going to be a wet landing, air brakes engaged and the pilot looked over her shoulder at the officer standing between the jump seats.

"Sir we are coming into range. ETA ten"

Captain James Connely nodded his head as he acknowledged the pilot's words and he moved back to the carrier bay.

"Get ready boys and girls, Ten Minutes to landing!"

He sat down and strapped himself into the seat, looking over at the guy sent by High Command. Why would they insist that some merc should go with them on what seemed like a routine mission he would never understand. Z-4657 a planet where they are mining for minerals, there was some reports which stated that they had come across strange fossils, but it didn't worry anybody. Then all communication was lost and high command issued an order to send out his company as they were the closest, but they had to wait for the spook to join them.

He also didn't think that this type of milk run was something that the two new Privates would have wanted to do, of course Private Phillips made a show of being upset about it, Private de Muerte just didn't say a word, come to think of it, de Muerte never said much anyway. He felt the craft slow down and he readied himself for the landing, boosters activated and he checked his watch, four minutes. Enough time for the group to go over their gear and make sure that they were buckled in tightly.

"Check gear and strap in!"

Chris de Muerte

Out of habit he followed the order, by now he had triple checked his equipment and even though this was a milk run, he was going to make sure he wouldn't cock up on it anyway. He found that one strap was not tightened properly and he fastened it, making sure the harness was secure. Right all was set, he felt self conscious about being the guy carrying the heavy machine gun and the standard issue assault rifle, but he was sure that when the extra fire power would be needed he would be glad that he brought it along.

"de Muerte, Set,"

he didn't have a call sign yet and knew it might be some time before one actually stuck to him.
