That was a fun twist, turning a trope on its head like that. Light hearted and an easy read, with a nice breezy style. Technically competent too, which makes a change.

Most people won't get it, but you probably know that already. You'll get more la la comments, I reckon, which will be good for a laugh.

I don't think you wrote something weird — I think you wrote something unique and that makes it great. Not only unique, but very well edited and crafted. Satire/Humor may have been a better category, if anything that might dampen the rating and prompt some negative comments. Kudos from me.
