I know mariposa has a thread around here somewhere about calls she got while working reservations at an airline, and I think she mentioned obscene callers. The company policy was (eventually, it changed several times over the time she worked there.) to hang up on them. But when she could get away with it, she played with them. Didn't give them phone sex, but messed with their heads. It became a game to see if she could them to hang up on her, instead of the other way around. It turned out to be really hard, so she asked a friend who was psychologist about it. Her friend said that some of these guys (usually, it's guys calling. I can't remember what the percentage was, but most obscene phone callers are male, for some reason.) are just lonely. But for some of them, getting hung up on is part of the kink. Actually that makes a lot of sense. (At least to me.) I know that when I was working in the lingerie section at Meier and Frank (kinda like JC Penney) that we'd get obsene calls occasionally, but we thought it was funny. I mean it wasn't easy to get ahold of the specific dept you wanted, unless you knew the extention. We'd just toy with them, cause we figured if they were gonna go to that much work, they shouldn't get hung up on. They normally hung up on us. *pout* Totally ruined our fun, the big meanies.
