Four of my friends each bet me $50 that Canelo would be Bivol.

I'm now $200 richer than when the weekend started.

Canelo is going to invoke the "Rematch Clause".

It won't go any different though.

Canelo needs to stay at Middleweight and Super Welterweight.

Where have you been? Canelo Alvarez hasn’t competed at middleweight since 2019, over 4 years ago and not super welterweight since 2016. The rematch is said to happen in September 2023. Bivol is asking for the rematch at Super Middleweight to win Canelo’s 4 belts as he’s the undisputed champion in that division (168lbs). Canelo says he wants it at Light Heavyweight 175lbs, which nowhere near his natural weight class. If the rematch happens at 168lbs, I have no doubt Canelo knocks dmitry Bivol out completely because it’s his most optimal weight class. Bivol will be weight drained and he’s going to get exploited big time and it’s going to be very evident, believe me.

If it happens at 175lbs, Bivol should be the favorite likely by decision he has no real power to hurt Canelo. Even still I wouldn’t count Canelo out as I felt (as well as many other observers) he won the first 3-4 rounds of their first fight meeting before essentially tiring out, a lot of that having to do with putting on too much muscle mass going into the fight. To me it looked like he came into the fight with the wrong fight plan. Stamina is Canelo’s number one issue that works against him, especially with a guy like Bivol who has good foot work and punch rate.
