I wish that wishes came true. I wish that dreams come come true. I wish that Sickness could be cured and age restored with the wave of a hand. I wish that knights in shining armour could rescue damsels in distress and that there really were such a thing as happily ever after.

I wish I weren't me. I want to be someone better and without a time machine it can't happen. So I wish for an end to it.

I wish Gracie could see my grind and brew coffeemaker that runs at 4:30 AM. This has, over time, kept me among the ranks of those who jump out of bed, smiling. I take 10 minutes or so to get to the top of my game.

I wish I could hang out with Gracie and drink coffee until we got that sweet burning too-much-acid-but-fuck-it-this-is-good-coffee feeling. Then we could tame the burn with liquor and ridiculously yummy finger foods.
