So I stopped thinking about it and poured myself a drink. I feel so much better now that I have regained some perspective.

Damn. I can't drink because of the medication I am on. Fuck.

I was drinking the shit out of Johnny Walker Red and Cuervo Gold a couple of months ago.

But it does feel better in the mornings now, and I can justify my use of marijuana (for all the non-tokers out there).

As for Bourbon, I think Kentucky whiskey kicks Tennessee and Canadian by far.

Perspective... yeah, I could use some of that. I'll just sneak on over and steal some of dilly's liquor though, cuz i'm too damn lazy to pour my own.

I first had thoughts like this the first time I visited the Canadian Rockies! After the initital shock of the discovery, it actually turned into a comfortable feeling... reducing the burden of worries and troubles that we really don't have much control over.

Now, where's my beer?:D

There isn't a scheme of things for us to figure in. So we can make up a scheme and be central to it if we want.

This kind of thinking needs alchohol.

First time I saw the ocean it dawned on me that we were pretty insignificant,So I walked down the beach to the bar at the pier and had several Dewars and water.Need to get back to that pier!

it's a great big universe
and we're all really puny
we're just tiny little specks
about the size of Micky Rooney

:D

The Universe Song (from Monty Python's "The Meaning of Life")

Whenevr life gets you down Mrs. Brown,
And things seem hard or tough,
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft,
And you feel that you've had quite enough;

Just remember that you're standing on a planet that's evolving
And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour;
That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned,
A sun that is the source of all our power.
The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm at forty thousand miles an hour
Of the galaxy we call the Milky Way.

Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars;
It's a hundred thousand light-years side to side.
It bulges in the middle sixteen thousand light-years thick,
But out by us it's just three thousand light-years wide.
We're thirty thousand light-years from galactic central point;
We go round every two hundred million years.
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe.

The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whiz.
As fast as it can go - at the speed of light, you know,
Twelve million miles a minute, and that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember when you're feeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth.
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere up in space
Because there's bugger-all down here on Earth.
