Good morning storm. Beautiful day down here after a chilly past two nights. If I'd of known that it was going to be this peasant I would have reserved a tee time for this morning.

I was making coffee this morning. We broke our French Press so husband went out and bought a new one the other day. It is quite attractive. The metal encases the glass in fine strips and has a curling handle. The top has a strainer lip on it, a little ball plunger and a plastic piece to help press the coffee.

So the plastic piece that is to help press, shoots water out the top when you push the plunger and forces coffee grounds up the side. The little ball plunger hurts the hand when you need to apply a little pressure and the strainer lip gets caught at a funny angle and so you have to jiggle it to get it to go down in the pot. Once you have the coffee pressed, you can't pour it unless the strainer is right in front. I can't see the slots easily so I have to hold it up and figure out which way the lid goes on: their are no marks to show me. Great design.

I now have a lovely cup of coffee with grounds floating on the top.

No, it won't! And it hasn't hit 20 lately, either. Not here, anyway.

Storm, being up until 1 am is literally being awake until Sunday but that is normal for many of the people here! I thought you meant you were up all night! I was going to ask if you were sick. Hopefully you were just out late enjoying yourself.
