...but don't know what I want. :( Too many choices. Maybe I should get an amp instead.

Hey, that small tit bitch is hot. She can sit on my lap while I give her "lessons."

I want a new guitar too, but the SG I want isn't made anymore. So if I get a "new" one, it'll probably be a Les Paul.

I have a les Paul clone, but have never really liked em. I like the 60s tribute sg special with p90s. I might just buy a set of p90s and drop em in my Tele. Never took the scratchplate off so it might be a uni route.

I've played a few Les Paul clone's, and I've yet to play one that's as good as the real thing. There is just no comparison between the one's I've played. The Les Paul has a bigger price, but it's also a superior guitar to any of the clones I've ever played. By far. I still like that one SG Custom more, though. But I can't remember now for the life of me which one it was. That was way too long ago.

I've played real Pauls as well and I just don't like the necks. To thick for me. My strat is a jimmie vaughan signature and is based off a 57. Nice v shape neck.

Ah. I can handle the neck of both the SG and the Les Paul, but except for that one SG I tend to prefer the sound and feel of the Les Paul. It just has a sound that kind of resonates with me, you know? I like instruments that have a sound I can resonate with. It makes it easier to play.

I also like the body of the Les Paul in general over most other guitars. It has a bit more weight then the SG, but that weight feels kind of good in my hands.

Ya I hear that. It's how I ended up with my jv strat. I was trying out various guitars and this one just spoke to me. Sounded so sweet through a tweed blues deluxe. Nice snap at the neck and twang at the bridge. Mid pup is wired open so it really bites. I keep him hawin. I want a hollow or semi hollow I think. The epi sheridon really screams to me in the natural finish. Sooo sexy with the vine inlays.

I've had semi-hollow guitars before, and I never really liked them. Most of them aren't much louder then a typical solid body, so they end up just being the same as solid electrics but bigger and heavier. Some people like the extra size, but it's not really my thing.

I would like to have a good hollow body around, though, just to mess around on without having to plug everything up. My nephew has a Takamine that sounds and feels awesome, and it was only a few hundred. It really surprised me that it sounded as good as it did, considering the price. I'm used to cheap guitars sounding like cheap guitars.

That's why I'm leaning more twards a casino.
As for cheap guitars, I have a samick acoustic that could hold its own against a mid priced Martin or Taylor any day

I haven't played a Samick or a Casino. I've seen some Casino's, but they haven't really called to me.

Having just looked up Samick, though, I wouldn't mind taking one or two of them for a test drive.

I've got two. Both from the 90s before Greg Bennett was involved. A white strat(first electric) and the acoustic. Got em both used. The strat might have some value as it is a valley arts pro model. When I contacted the company they told me both the guitars are pre 1999 as that's when they quit putting samick on the head stock. Best I can come to a date.

Interesting. I'll have to remember to look for used ones, then. Thank you.

The new ones might be good. I've never played one. The strats are always on ebay. They have a really flat neck, kind of like a dean or Jackson. I don't care for it much but at the time I didn't know better.
