...but don't know what I want. Too many choices. Maybe I should get an amp instead.

Hey, that small tit bitch is hot. She can sit on my lap while I give her "lessons."

I want a new guitar too, but the SG I want isn't made anymore. So if I get a "new" one, it'll probably be a Les Paul.
get the amp
I have a les Paul clone, but have never really liked em. I like the 60s tribute sg special with p90s. I might just buy a set of p90s and drop em in my Tele. Never took the scratchplate off so it might be a uni route.
I've played a few Les Paul clone's, and I've yet to play one that's as good as the real thing. There is just no comparison between the one's I've played. The Les Paul has a bigger price, but it's also a superior guitar to any of the clones I've ever played. By far. I still like that one SG Custom more, though. But I can't remember now for the life of me which one it was. That was way too long ago.
I've played real Pauls as well and I just don't like the necks. To thick for me. My strat is a jimmie vaughan signature and is based off a 57. Nice v shape neck.
Ah. I can handle the neck of both the SG and the Les Paul, but except for that one SG I tend to prefer the sound and feel of the Les Paul. It just has a sound that kind of resonates with me, you know? I like instruments that have a sound I can resonate with. It makes it easier to play.
I also like the body of the Les Paul in general over most other guitars. It has a bit more weight then the SG, but that weight feels kind of good in my hands.
I've had semi-hollow guitars before, and I never really liked them. Most of them aren't much louder then a typical solid body, so they end up just being the same as solid electrics but bigger and heavier. Some people like the extra size, but it's not really my thing.
I would like to have a good hollow body around, though, just to mess around on without having to plug everything up. My nephew has a Takamine that sounds and feels awesome, and it was only a few hundred. It really surprised me that it sounded as good as it did, considering the price. I'm used to cheap guitars sounding like cheap guitars.
I haven't played a Samick or a Casino. I've seen some Casino's, but they haven't really called to me.
Having just looked up Samick, though, I wouldn't mind taking one or two of them for a test drive.
Interesting. I'll have to remember to look for used ones, then. Thank you.
