I waaaaant one!

A WRX would be nice for those days when I have to get groceries, or when the weather isn't nice, but most of the rest of the time I would rather be riding one of these: http://www.hpn.de/bilder/motorraeder/rallyesport_gross.jpg

I have the stock version, but the HPN version has a lot of bells and whistles (reinforced frame, hi-perf suspension, hi-perf engine). However, since that bike is about $20-$40k US depending on options, I think I will get one of these instead (about half the cost with a real off-road bike suspension and substantially more horsepower): http://www.ktmmotorcycles.com/images/lc8/00lc802.jpg

Of course, it will need a different paint job.

I'm in love!!

The Ultimate HSV - 300kW (400HP) of Callaway-enhanced 5.7 litre V8, 510Nm of torque, a close-ratio 6-speed manual only gearbox with shift light and buzzer - in a word awesome. Exclusive HSV 6-piston front and 4-piston rear calipers, Grooved and Cross-Drilled 362mm front and 343mm rear discs, developed in conjunction with AP Racing (of HRT fame) - unmatched stopping power

Drool, BigRed, I know what you mean.

I'd really love to take an HSV ute with me to Canada when I move, blow away some North Americans with that hehehe. Tell me mate, would you be up for a get together in the New Year, Rotorua perhaps? Tossing the idea around right now, there are about 10 kiwi's around.

The WRX is something I intend to have though, and soon. The others are dreams, for the longer term.

And wolf - I spent an hour and a half searching through every post I ever made to find the thread where I posted my dream car, and still didn't find it. I hate you (;)). so take this link instead:

I am surprised at you Kiwis! The world's premier and most expensive ($1 million US) super car is created by one of your countrymen and you totally ignore it. If you are going to dream, dream big!

Looks like Jodessa's. Maybe she'll give it to you for a trip to NZ for her and Francis.

It is like Geodie's, but it's a manual, and a sport wagon. Gives me space to sleep in on a certain 19 hour journey.

By this man: http://www.nzedge.com/heroes/images/bm-portrait4.jpg

Bruce McLaren - well, by the company that he founded (he was killed 31 years ago while testing a race car).

New Zealand also has a motocycle company that was started by a genius in motocycle design, John Britten (also deceased):

When I tell hubby this when he gets home he will go green with envy! :)

It's the end of the world for me. Let's talk about deeper meanings. You... me... world war III. I like Jodessa's better. I'm not much on wagons: too "family-oriented" for me. You don't want to see me try to get out of first gear on a manual. It's life-threatening, but damn it's fun.

Its very nice but .......

There's a guy in NZ who owns an MP4. It's one of the only two remaning prototypes left. Two were destroyed in crash testing and the other is in the Mclaren museum. He doesn"t drive it though the insurance co. will only cover it if its parked up, as soon as he starts it the insurance stops. So I guess there's not really much point in owning one, I want a car I can drive and enjoy. At about $50kus the HSV Coupe is at least a possibility.

PS. Debbie I already know all about Bruce Mclaren and John Britten.
