ISP is your internet service provider. Most of them offer you free web sites.

As for a hit counter .... follow the link on my page to BoingDragon if his site is not down he has some great ones. Most are animated too. I use altavista to search for hit counters too and I think geocities provides some basic ones. Bravenet has a few too.

I am not sure what language you used. My whole site with the exception of one or two things is all HTML I used the Bare Bones Guide To HTML I found on the net for it.

Yes hit counter's are no problem there's some sites you can go to that let you set counter's up on site bravenet being one of them.

Or you can use a cgi script if webserver supports script's.

There is an advanced edit option that shows you the HTML source code for the page, paste the counter code where you want it in there.

I'm pissed off with geocities since they stopped providing FTP access to upload your pages for the free accounts. Makes maintaining my directory structure almost impossible, so I have to use my university's server (it seems the pages can't be accessed directly from outside the UK, but you can get to them via the university homepage).

http://users.ox.ac.uk/~linc0882/ - main site
http://www.geocities.com/moveml/ - becoming out of date

i managed to paste it in bit it doesnt come up on the front page where i want it. it is delved away in the file manager boxes

anyone know a book on how to overcome computer bollocks in one easy move!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"the wonders of modern technology eh"
