Hello everyone. I have had my first story(ies) posted on Literotica this past week, it's an eight part story that I wrote a few months ago but only just got around to posting. It's called 'OWNED' and is in the BDSM section.

At first I got really nice feedback and emails, but as the story has gone on I have been getting so many aggressive and unpleasant comments, I am just really surprised at the way things have turned over the past few days.

It does annoy me i guess, even though i should just ignore it, but what really surprised me was the redneck attitudes of the comments...

There are several categories that attract trolls who are there for one purpose only, to attack each and every story they see in that category. BDSM is one of those cats.

If you are getting positive feedback related to the story, ignore all those ignorant blasts from trolls about the lifestyle portrayed in the story. They don't get or like the lifestyle, and that's what they're blasting. Odds are, they haven't read even the title of your story - just the category.

If they did look at it, it was probably just to grab character names to make it look like they read it and are making "intelligent" comments.

Don't let the trolls get you down

Kill these trolls. Log in lit, go to your "Literotica Control Panel", choose
"submissions > View Current Submissions > Moderate Public Comments

and delete unwanted comments. It's not fine english art, but good.

There are certain catagories that attract the trolls. I've received death threats from writing in Non-Consent. BDSM tends to have it's own group and they can be rather picky. Loving Wives gets lots of submissions and more than their share of Trolls.

I don't know which was worse, the redneck anti-gay comments or the ones who were suggesting that my story was too wimpy and that I should have the guys balls cut off etc etc etc .... um, a little wierd!!!

still, i did get some good comments too....and over a thousand people read chapter 8 so i must be doing ok?

I don't know that category well, but if I was going to write in it, I'd read the top lists to see how other authors formulated stories. Not that you have to change your style, but so that you can see what the reader expects. If you post a story that has elements the reader doesn't expect (i.e. gay sex in a category that is frequented by hetero readers), you'll get more trolls. You don't have to change anything, but at least you'll know what percentage of negatives you're likely to get. Good luck with the future stories.

Thanks for that, appreciated. Yes it does seem that that was a MAJOR problem for some people!!! But to be honest I didn't really think it was that radical a twist! It wasn't what I would call 'GAY' sex anyway...I mean technically it was because 1 guy was sucking another guy's cock, but it was 'forced' by his wife/mistress....
