Serene speaks the truth. Windows 8 SUCKS. If you happen to have Windows 8 Pro you can downgrade to Windows 7. Otherwise you are stuck. And good luck finding a new computer with Windows 7.

One thing you can do to ease the pain a bit is download and install Classic Shell
