I Think....

You're doing it wrong! As long as you understand what you are in store for and accept it for what it is, it doesn't have to be stressful. It is what it is and is a means to an end (getting there). Nothing more. ;)

No matter how I visualize it, its going to suck. :( I'm scared of flying. It usually takes me months to talk myself into getting on a plane and this time I only have a few weeks notice. I'll have my kids with me which means no drugs or alcohol to knock me out. I'm screwed. :(

I know you know there is nothing to be afraid of. It is MANY times more dangerous simply taking a shower in the morning or driving to the airport than it is to fly. Flying is by far the safest part of your journey. Statistically speaking.

There are plenty of other relaxation techniques besides self medicating or drinking. Maybe your comforting your kids will be enough to take your mind off your irrational fear.

Speaking of being screwed, THAT could be the best relaxation technique of all! :D

I think two glasses of tattoo & Coke wasn't enogh to kill the pain from Crossfit, but three glasses would be excessive

i think i'm going to make sloppy joes tomorrow for dinner. fridays in the fall just scream sloppy joes.

I think:

Ave Maria, gratia plena, Dominus tecum. Benedicta tu in mulieribus, et benedictus fructus ventris tui, Iesus.
