I think I'm glad this is the last babyshower for a couple of months at least.
All my gal-pals having babies, sheesh. So glad I had mine young,
couldn't imagine running after a toddler 24/7 now.
(Except my 2 year old grandson that is)

I think putting up with the adult idiots at that meeting today took it out of me. I think some people need to realize that it isnt always about them and get over their damn selves already!!! :mad:
 
i think it's going to be a long night since my mom keeps waking up every few hours, thinking it's morning. she brushes her teeth, put her bridge in, combs her hair, gets dressed and comes out into the front room. i tell her it's the middle of the night and she gets her pj's back on and goes back to bed. for how long? who knows.

My mother spent her last years suffering from Alzheimer's as well.......it's very sad....but in reality even though it is a devastating condition.......you will have some incredible moments with your mom........don't miss them......as sad as some of them may be...........:heart:

no, i won't miss them. i make sure she's happy and healthy. i make sure we laugh every day. she's a remarkable woman and i still see flashes of that. :)

I think watching you with your mother warms my heart.

I think you are tender and kind.

I think your spirit is what keeps her calm through all this.

I think she is confused and probably scared at times, but you are rock steady and always the same.

I think this comforts her. I think it makes bearing the pain of this easier.

I think watching you with her would make anyone want to tell you that you not only are doing a great job, but you are doing it with love, patience and sometimes a grin.

I think I wish I drank coffee so I could taste just how good the stuff your mother exclaims so often about is.
