I dont think so. I dont think wasps lose it when they sting you. I think that is just honey bees and maybe hornets.

Wasps leave stingers as well. You might want to try to put some ice on it and then some anti itch cream.

I think that a wasp sting would send me to the hospital cuz I'm allergic. And I think a google search is the best way to know for sure...that the barb doesn't get left behind in the sting (if it did...it would make Rick's matter much worse).
