You may have noticed my touch thread earlier, its all wierd i feel emotions more and stuff

anyone every feel emotional flux while on these antidepressants thingies

When i use to take antidepressants i was always way more emotional. A little kid would say "I love you mommy" and i'd be like "OMG That was so sweet *sobbing*" or i'd get mad easy. I had a friend once tell me that i was wearing cool shoes i looked at her and said "That was real fucking funny....they are sandals" *shrugs* I got use to them after a while.

I have a good bit of fluctuation on mine, but then again, I am bipolar. Antidepressants are not always a cure all. They are excellent, but they don't necessary keep you on the same level all of the time.

todd-o-, I was on Zoloft about 10 years ago. At first it was like I was on speed, then it tapered off to where I felt absolutely nothing. Stopped taking it after 1 year. Been anti-depressent free ever since.:) Good Luck

Antidepressants help stabilize any chemical imbalance that may contribute to depression. I know your doc increased your dosage a while back, so it may not be settled within your system. I asked you before about counseling. I'd highly recommend it. Finding other outlets, as well as new behaviors, will help curb mood swings and emotional fluctuations.

Wow...well I've had Advil, and I've had morphene. That's it for me. I really don't like medication at all. No way I'm taking antibodies or anything like that, unless it's going to save my life.

Being on morphine with an IV drip was funny, lol :D

Todd?
I thought your touch thread, earlier, was wonderful.
It was deeply real, like you.

Don't sweat the "feeling" stuff, okay?
Let the antidepressants begin to work.
Talk to your doc about any side effects you may be feeling and which might be of concern to you.

And don't listen to giggly morons who don't have a fucking clue what they're talking about with regard to this issue, either. You take them if you need them. Get off them when you don't need them anymore. End of story.

thank you Cym,

I saw the doc last week things were going well so the next official meeting is in about a month.

Just some fraky feeling flux, and as you said in the other thread the lack of physical touch.

things just balled up today while sitting on the front porch watching people and stuff
