I Take It All Back!

writing is an art form just like anything else. It takes time to learn how to do it well

GW,
Too many people come to Lit with an "A" in English Comp 101 and think that qualifies them to write the great American novel. It doesn't. Everyone can write. Those who work at it, study it and read can learn to be good writers - a few even great writers.

But it does take time and effort. But I'm glad to say we've had a few graduate from this forum to writing really good stories over the past year and more coming along.

Are you going to post us a link to your stories or make us wonder where they are?

I'm feeling particularly lazy after days of too much turkey and stuffing leftovers.

Everyone can try. Everyone can improve.

But not everyone can write.

DCL, I said everyone can write. I didn't say everyone could write well or even readably. True - some just don't get it and never do well. Most write better. A few write well. Finding those few who do write well is worth all the others.

This is embarrasing I haven't got a clue how to make a link to my stories that's how green or wet behind the ears I am. But if you to want know what there called
Gary & katherine Ch.01 AND What would you do?

You will find them in the loving wives section but in My opinion they are what I call REAL loving wives stories so don't be put off by the catorgory.
(And thank you Jenny for your help just don't tell anyone exactly how bad the grammar, spelling etc really is.)

Here's a link to your story page.

Loving Wives does generate a great deal of public comments - crazy story category.

I'll read when I get the chance? Hang in there!

Ok here is how you do it.

First, open your story.
Second, click in the browser address bar, where it says h t t p://
Third. Press Control-A, then Control C. This copies the link.
Fourth, open a post reply window. you can either just press Control V and paste it in, or you can click on the link icon above, little round earth thing with a chain link and paste it in there.

These methods work for just about anything. Your submissions page is a good one to put in your signature line.

Since you're green and admit it, I'll give you the link to your submissions page.

GW66's Stories

Now all you have to do is quote me, copy that line and put it in your signature line.

Now that you have that in your sig line, you can open that page, right click on the stories and copy their links.

ETA: Oops, Looks like Sarahh beat me to the link posting.

Yes writing is more difficult than most people think. I'm working on my second part of my story that I'm writing now... well lets just say it's written, but not proof-read yet... which i want to do before I let the sadomasochists that read this site attack it.

Jenny, I think a quote, with a slight twist from Gusteau from Ratatouille says it best.

Anyone can write, but only the fearless can be great. And it is true, some things may not work, some things may, but once you find out what works stick with it, perfect it, and then you'll succeed, but you never will unless you actually try.
