I love being able to be here with mine, especially when he's ill. Just cuddling up on the couch and vegging out with him, playing board games and cracking jokes.

I should pull each one out of school every few months and have a special day with each without them being sick. I doubt the school would like that.


I put my decorations up last weekend. Well, just the tree and a few little things. Ill do more twords Christmas. I would look silly putting my lighted candy canes along the driveway and stuff before Thanksgiving.

I do that twice a year, let my son have a 'free' day, so long as his grades are good and he hasn't missed too much from being sick, I don't see the harm, just the benefit from a Mommy and me day.

LOL You wouldn't around here, I've seen so many people with their outside Christmas lights already up.

I do the same with my kids but I call it a "Hippy Holiday" *lol*

Skip off to a movie and out to eat. They will always remember those moments too, because to them it's kinda naughty skipping school and just screwing around.



Oh hell now I think I'll let mine stay home one day next week for a fun filled day. Maybe we'll go see the new Harry Potter movie.

I think that would be great ... one on one time with Mommy. They don't have to *compete* for attention, just special time for the two of you.
