I shaved today, so now I'm all smooth and nice

Not compared to 99 or 97, IMHO, but it's hard to judge the best Italians of 2000 since they are mostly still in the barrel... and of course in any given vineyard the answer may vary. In general it was tough around Tuscany owing to a very hot August, but the growers in the Piedmont seemed to fare better.

I know the first are slowly going out but they can give you an idea for the best ones.

The best of 2000 is all about Port, scry. It may be the best vintage in 50+ years. Buy Brunellos from 95,97, or 99, but 2000 was the year for impeccable port.

Such erudition from Camp Snoopy.

But what about the main question of the night--it's "scrymettet" not "scrymettette" ergo...

I am not a big port fan. I don't know why.
I prefer the Banyuls,Collioure or Maury.

The word from Camp Snoopy is go buy a case of Graham's 2000 and set it aside for at least 5 years. If you don't like it you'll be able to sell it for a fair profit -- assuming you can still find such for under U$1000.

How did a thread about smooth legs turn into a wine thread??????

Ummmm.... well, yeah. I mean, it should be. I bought mine off futures, but it's been in the bottle long enough it should be available at regular retail now.

aux rêves, scry

I'm fairly creative, tswyk, when the opporunity arises. :D

Well, LK, maybe one day you'll take the chance to show me....

Sweet dreams,

*Yawn*

Morning peeps. *Looks around*
Eh, I think I have to agree with tswyk, how did my thread turn into a wine thread?? And how did it end up with French posts? haha Almost like the lyric triva thread where Svenska and I hijacked it into a Swedish thread... ;)

Well, top of the morning to you all anyway!

You missed the snippet of Italian dialog, eh?

French wine is the arguably the third best vice ever discovered by man, right behind Italian wine and that foremost of all joys, cunnilingus. When there's a dearth of women it's time for the gentlemen to turn to wine.

Buon giorno, mi amichi. Italiano? Non capice bene. Sono allupato.

Mi ha chiesto che, "potete ritenere il fuoco?"

I'm not good at it either, and haven't the slightest idea what an allupato might be, but once one has been ummm... pursued by a beautful woman in lyric Italian one gets oneself busy learning bits and pieces, se conoscete che cosa significo.

allaputo = "like a wolf", idiomatic for "horny" and in sheep's clothing, no less. lol

i should add that there's the connotation that it's unfulfilled horniness.
