OK, looking at the heading and the pic and trying to get a drift on what you might be wanting comments on, I assume you mean the situation of the subs is full of hopelessness? I'm not sure I agree as it requires consent and to be in that position for many would be all their hopes and dreams rolled into one fantastic moment of recognition and experience. Of course, I guess there is the element or role play or perceived emotions which might be viewed as hopelessness, but the reality is different.
