Mentally retarded people are not stupid...they often times have a learning disability. That means they have the potential, but need a little help with the process.

My 6 year old daughter has this. She is having some trouble understanding some instructions...and has some trouble making herself understood. She is otherwise a very communicative child. She has an excellent memory and will tell you word for word lines from her favorite movie. She knows how to make microwave popcorn, and how to warm up her toast. She has even figured out how to make my screen saver go away (moving the mouse)...
Please do not use this retard thing as a basis for a joke. It is inaccurate, and it is cruel for those who struggle to deal with the learning process.
