Do others have this problem, I have noticed it on a number of my stories, and how can it be fixed? I have emailed Laurel. I just wonder if I am doing something wrong.

Okay, yeah this happens frequently.

First, PM Laurel rather than email her. She'll get it fixed up very well.

The reason why it doesn't fit the page is your string of ****** in the middle. The scripts format the story to fit the line length and a line goes on longer than the line length, as in the string of *****, then it will extend the line length out into the blue stuff. Usually she's pretty good at catching these, but they do slip by sometimes.

Paul, I too had this same problem with my first submission.

The problem lies with the long line of ******’s you use to break your story up. For some reason the bots that translate the stories her at lit to web pages are baffled by these.

Resubmit your story with a shorter line of *****’s, 12 is what I use and it seems to work fine.

You're an experienced writer, so you might have skipped a groove on this one or maybe it's just a USA usage, but I've been taught that to indicate a POV or time shift, it's best to use a symbol such as a single number sign (#) or three asterisks (***).
