How do I invoke more friends?

is it possible to get a car of our own?

Do I have to build up the whole comuty of lots

i am getting boared maybe i am mising something, but i can keep my sime rather well balanced but now its getting to the same old same old. The only thing is getting friends and stuff

I have atleast 5 different homes going in each neighborhood.

i play one for awhile, then i switch to another.

eventually i get bored and delete them all.

I found that despite all the expansion packs either becoming a cop/security guard or an army person is the best job to have money wise. All you need to do is either swim alot or lift your weights to advance. Mechanical helps also. The best tactic I have found to meeting and making new friends is to purchase a hot tub. Also purchasing a table and stratigecaly seating your sims will result in various conversations between sims. Or invite them over one at a time once a day till their maxed out.

Having all the different lots to me is a usless bonus made to sell more games. Your sims cannot mingle through lots only in their own so its like starting a brand new game in a new neighborhood.

oh yeah how can you make them wake up faster? I swear it takes them 39 sim minutes to fully wak up before they will do what you want them to do ans when you only have 2 hours before carpool that reall makes things compact to get everything in that needs to be done, bladder, shower, eat, clean

Thats what I was getting at that you can only do things on your own lot and not walk around or drive to other lots

There was a site I had gone to that had downloadable cheats for your game. There are dummies that work like live people you can have your sim talk to for hours to up their social. It wont become your friend though nut don't get depressed I'll always be your friend

you have to have people in your neighborhood to come visit.. right? or am I mistaken?

If your house is the only one in the neighborhood then I don't think there is anyone else to come over to visit.

the extra neighborhoods are in the Living Large expansion pack. If all you have is the original sims.. then I believe there is just the one neighborhood.

Todd.. when you are playing the sims.. there should be a link that takes you to Thesims.com if not.. type it in.. it has lots of info there.. and links to other pages (including cheats)

Yes, you do have to create more homes and families to get any neighbors to drop in on you.

Usually they'll drop in between 10am and Noon the first "Day" and randomly around the clock if there is enough.

The Livin Large Expansion pack gives you more items and neighborhoods, House Party I forget if you get more Hoods, but you have much more opportunity for social interaction.

Hot Date, which is the latest features a downtown for EVERY neighborhood, with Sims wandering around that are NOT made by you.

All you do is go downtown, mingle and you can call the people you meet when you get back home.

The next expansion pack will be Vacation oriented with a seperate vacation area and will get the child sims more involved.
