A few weeks ago i downloaded a program to check my IQ

I got bored and ran it tonight

I got my number but it doesn't tell me anything about where it rates and i can't even remember where i down loaded it

and I can't find any site that will give me a straight answer to what the numbers mean.

where can i go to find the value definitions

I think anything over 140 or 150 is genius level. Besides that I am not sure.

Below 75 is mentaly defficient.

Those programs aren't all that accurate either. If you took the GRE's there are tables to convert those to IQ ratings.

Barnes and noble and other book stores sell little books I am not sure how accurate they are though. Mensa offers a practice version of their IQ test on their website. It is supposed to be an accurate one even though it does not give a hard number.

I have done the Mensa one and I got it nearly memorized now.

as for the score this thing has got to be screwed then if 140-150 is genius

I did it in 7 minutes out of the 30 it was supposed to take me and i scored 143

Lying piece of trash program

I might be wrong. I remember reading that somewhere along time ago. Cheney supposebly has a genius IQ rating and thats the only reason I even remember because that was more recent that I read that.

There is kind of a neat one at http://quiz.ivillage.com/cgi-bin/iq_quiz/iqcalc.cgi which I'm sure won't come up as a link, but punch it in. After you take it, it breaks down different categories into percentiles and if you get lucky you get that info for free instead of paying. I took it a few times and, as a result, got an inflated IQ of 167. I like to leave it laying around the office for fun. According to the info, 161 and above is considered a genius. On the other hand, the link, which is probably not done right just may be the score page in which case you're fucked.:D

Damn, the link worked. Mozart had an IQ of 162 or something, bearlee 167(after taking it a few times) and Newton had an IQ of 190 for discovering things like apples fall down instead of up. Anyway, if you take the test, I think you'll get a score. The percentile thing without paying is tricky but somehow it worked a couple times for me. Have fun. Encarata has a ton of quizzes too.

Doesn't anyone else find this incredibly funny?

I can't, I can't, I can't...

Sorry Todd, just joshin' ya.

My 12 yr old daughter took an online IQ quiz last week and got a 163 in half the time allowed. Near-genius, it says. She then asked me to take it. I refused and told her those things are stupid. She called me on it and told me I was afraid I wouldn't score well. Smart kid.
