I am in need of a plus sized Alice in Wonderland costume.

I'm about a 24-26ish. Yes, I know, I'm fat. This is the fucking trouble.

I don't want to spend a fortune on this- it's just hallowe'en.

*sigh*

Please help.

The second one is cute, but I can't wear that to work.

The other ones I've looked at already... I should have mentioned 'cost-effective'...

Thank you, though.

*nod* I did look through it... unfortunately, as I said, I've looked at each and every one of them already.

LJ...How far are you from Kansas and would you be willing to pay shipping?

i have my Alice costume from last year that i could send you. It's a 26. i'll take some pics in the morning and send them to you...

It's actually just like this one. My drag queen friend back in Cali made it for me.

Holy hell- that would be perfect!

Yes, I'd pay shipping. I'm up in Canada, but I'll pay for some kind of rush, if it gets it here within two weeks. That's exactly what I'd like...

If I don't find a costume that works, I'm considering just buying this dress, which I can wear after halloween:

lovely dress!
I'm really considering it... then at least I won't feel like I've spent a bunch of money on a one-time-deal, y'know?

I'll be able to wear that dress afterward.. and it's nice.

Your other option is to cobble something together.

Hit the thrifts in your area, look for a blue dress (or a white one - you can dye it), and try to find an apron either at a thrift, a kitchen shop, or a costume shop. Add white tights, black hair ribbon and black shoes, and you're set.

eBy for dresses, not costumes -

For example this could work if accessorized properly.

Call maid uniform supply companies and see if they have a basic, short sleeve blue dress in your size. Add an apron and accessories, and you're Alice.

Try costume rental shops - it might be cheaper to rent than buy a whole costume.
The difficulty with thrift shops, is that I'm the size I am.

I will be hitting the thrift shops this weekend. I don't WANT to buy the stupid costume- I'd LIKE to cobble it together, but it's just not that easy when you're my size...

add to my size that I'm 5'10 tall, and it's... just not easy.

USPS First Calss Mail, International for a 1# (ish) dress should cost around $7... I think (going off the top of my head)... and it *should* be there before Halloween.

Just looked it up online....

6-10 days shipping time and 8 bucks...

(For eight bucks don't even worry about it... :rose: )

Let's do that- and I will compensate you for it...

if I don't send you money, perhaps I can send you a little present! Exchange addresses?

*fret* HM's parcel hasn't arrived, Hallowe'en is tomorrow, and while I've been looking for a backup outfit, it's tough, when you're not a skinny little mini. Thrift stores were no help, and I know I'm going to spend most of the day tomorrow, miserable and cold, in the outfit I have as my backup.

*sigh*
