I Need an Editors Help Please......

Any Editors out there willing to help me with my story. It has been turned down due to problems with punctuation of characters speaking but I cannot find the problem. So any body willing to proof read the story and advise where I have gone wrong? Thanks.

I tried two Editors from the list but they let me down.

Hi Al,

My desk is piled high at the moment, but dialogue formatting and punctuation is generally quick and easy. I'll be happy to take a look if my colleagues don't mug me to get a new author.

I'm sorry to say I'm also bogged down right now, but while you're waiting, I'd suggest reading the following articles from our Writers Resources section , then seeing if you can spot and try to fix your errors:

How To Make Characters Talk (Dialogue format and punctuation)

Punctuation Use (A good overview of punctuation, with examples).

Trying to take a crack at it yourself will save you and your editor time, thereby getting it back in the queue and posted quicker.

Rejections suck, but like editing, they're really great opportunities to learn new skills and develop as an author!
