I need an editor.. pretty please?!?

I am in desperate need of an editor! I've emailed two volunteers so far and have received 0 replies. I don't think I smell funny. Maybe it's my Alabama accent?

Here's what I do: All of my work is lesbian in category (sexual and non-sexual). The themes vary: first time, romantic, BDSM, interracial, novels, series, masturbation, toys, etc.

Here's what I'm looking for: Someone who can advise me on plot (if they have suggestions), point out my spelling goofs, and help me fix my grammatical errors. In time, I hope to be able to say they'll be reading just to tell me how much I've improved in those areas! =)

Please let me know if you're interested! ...... Please tell me SOMEONE is interested!!! I'm getting kind of discouraged, to be honest! :-/

I tried four of the volunteer editors, gave each two to three weeks before I went on to the next and only ever heard a response from one. She told me she was busy but to send her something ASAP and she would see what she could do. A month later, I tried to contact her twice asking politely if any work had been done or if she was too busy and I should look elsewhere. Still no response.

I gave up on the volunteer editors and started posting stories. I read on another thread how one of the more experienced authors had simply put a note at the beginning or end of their submitted stories asking for an editor to contact them.

I submitted two stories with this note and three nice people have contacted me with offers of editing!

Maybe this will work for you, if you can't get a volunteer editor to respond?

As you have both discovered, the official Volunteer Editor programme fell apart through neglect some years ago - for the second time.

May I recommend the "Available Editors this month" thread at the top of this forum? At the very least this ensures that the VE has volunteered in the last few weeks.

I can help you with the plot area, but the other you have to find another editor to help you as well. But if you want my help just throw a PM with your email, and I will mail you.
