I need advice..

Christmas is coming, and my husband wants a DVD player. I'm all for it, and i'd like to get him one. I don't want to spend alot of money, but i also don't want to spend a little. I want a good quality DVD player for a good price. Any ideas?

hi FG i just went to block buster they had a special a dvd by phillips for 149.99 plus 10 free dvd rentals i dont know if u can find one in your area but if ya can check it out for the same deal!

Decide on a budget range, features that you might want, then do a web search on DVD reviews and opinions.

179 and 199 (that's canadian money though)
nothing special... they aren't big name brands but then again I only get things that have a well known name... but not too well known. I'll get ahold of the flyers again and write down the info if i see this thread around again.

Yeah i seen it, it looks like just a run of the mill DVD player. Not sure i wanna go that cheap on one.

as for price range.. hmm i guess anyhing under a thousand. As that is my alloted amount per person this year. (I don't wanna spend all of that on one present for him, i need to get other things also )

I've been looking at Ads more...You can get a Sony for under $200 on sale...look through the junk mail ads in the paper on Wed. and especially on Sunday....... JVC, Sanyo, etc.... You can do better than just Radio Shack or Sears if you read more than the internet...

Yep the guy two doors down has a play station 2 and he uses it for both games and DVD's and seems very happy with the arrangement.

My fiance does the same thing, but said the dvd remote sucks, so if you decide on this option, don't get the remote. I think it's a good idea, guys love video games, and movies, so it combines both! If you decide on this, just get one early, in case they are the hot x-mas item again this year!

Per ADULT.. with 8 kids there is NO way in hell I can spend that on them.. They are limited to $250-$300 each.

The only adults I buy for are my husband, his mom and my mom.
