Someone help me, please!

I want to write a poem so bad, and everything I do write sounds like garbage.

I thought maybe a Challenge might stir me. Like the old days. I have some good Challenge ideas myself but I'm waiting on those 'til I get going again. If I ever do. Someone asked Harper Lee one time why she never wrote another book. She replied "I've said all I have to say." Maybe that's whats up with me. Maybe I'm just done.

I hope not.

Throw me (and all the rest of us), a challenge, somebody. There's nothing else to do today.

I know the feeling, Boo. I've been the writing doldrums a lot lately. Have you tried writing a poem based on a photo or painting? That seems to help me sometimes, esp when you approach it from different perspectives.

I was just about to put some "rain" videos in the I Am Music thread, so how how about you write a poem about rain, anything about rain, something that happened while it was raining. Make it free verse or an acrostic sonnet or a terzanelle or whatever suits your fancy. I'lll eve start an official challenge thread. Just for you missy. Just because I've really missed you missy.

I love iambic. In fact tonight I'm removing a poem I wrote about Iambic. I have trouble NOT using iambic when I write a poem.
