I have written a children's book that would do well for the TV show "The Simpsons".

My problem is that they will not even look at it unless it is presented by a recognized agent.

If you know of any agents who handle this type of writing, please either PM me or e-mail me at leb_30514@yahoo.com

Thanks a bunch,
Larry a.k.a. Steelcock

Congratulations on completing your book. I don't know when I'll be ready to present anything to an agent, as my book is still in my head.

With publishing, it's seems almost as if a Catch 22 is involved; you need the agent before they read your manuscript but so often, agents are relunctant to take on first-time writers. Are you a first-time writer? Don't dispair, there are resources out there. You just have to take the time and look.

If you're looking for agents, www.writersdigest.com is always a good place to start; and here at Lit. of course.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progess.

Thanks, Mona. I will definitely check out the site. I sent the e-manuscript to one agent online and a few days later the book was missing from my hard drive. Fortunately I had also saved it under a different name and sent a copy to several family members for their opinions.

I only hope I see it someday either in print or on TV. Then my attorney will have a field day.
