Well, maybe they can just join doing all the laundry together. Though the laundry of 8 will be enough to be done by itself. But they could join their own laundry to yours, couldn't they? Or am I just suggesting some big taboo that I know nothing about because of living in a different society?

My scrubs are not to be washed with anything else, per Holly's directives. Something about the amount of MRSA and other nastiness that I encounter at the jail daily (and I don't blame her a bit, actually). She's pretty picky about how the rest of the laundry gets washed too, so somehow, I can't see her being happy about our laundry-bitch doing his/her laundry in with ours ... but maybe.

And Grace - if they won't re-use towels, just throw them in the dryer every day for about 20 min with a dryer sheet - saves time, saves water and they will never know the difference (as long as you do eventually wash them LOL).

Laundry is a tricky one for a houseboy situation I've found, because you really have to trust a guy to not steal your panties or masturbate in them. I just couldn't help but think that's what he was doing all the time; and I guess I can't have someone I'm not intimate with handling my most intimate things. I mean, I wouldn't mind at all (actually it would be a turn on) if my lover were stealing panties (as long as they were replaced) -- hell, I used to send him them on a regular basis when we were apart.

But, someone who I am not sexually intimate with -- then it just seems weird. Is that just me?

Ironically, I don't consider my relationship with my husband to be one of domestic service at all - my kinks are pretty much dead center fetish/bondage/surrender/pain/humiliation and comes in cycles. At other times we function as a vanilla couple for the most part.

Yet, he does all the domestic chores, including laundry, and all the cooking. I don't see this as a submissive act however -- I see it just as what our approrpriate skillsets dictate. I personally hate to cook and he loves it and considers it an outlet. If he didn't do the laundry I'd pay someone to do it, because I'm not going to do it.

I don't have a domestic bone in my body and never have. I've always known I was going to have someone else do it -- but even when I realized I was a femdom, I didn't envision partnering with a 'domestic slave', I figured we'd be DINKS (dual income, no kids) and afford a maid. It just worked out that instead of doing that, he doesn't work (except for me) and does all the house stuff.

My mom had to do laundry for eight too. She basically only did laundry during the weekend so we end up having a weeks worth of clothes in our wardrobe (however, wearing pants twice or socks twice is not uncommon). Saved a lot of time and energy if everything was done in large bulky loads.
