Are you having trouble finishing a story or something else you're working on? This thread can offer some good, positive, swift kicks in the ass for you.

:D

I know erise needs one....;)

Present and accounted for, fucking off as usual.
I've been working on the same novel since February or maybe longer.
I hear there are people around here who write novels in one month.
Well, I'm certainly not one of them.

I know Colly could write a novel in a month.

If it makes you feel any better, I've been dicking around with the same two story ideas for over a year and am just now really bothering to get them down on paper and finished.

That said, for anyone hitting a block or needing help with that next story chapter you just can't make work, try The Writer's Block. It can be found in most bookstores and some libraries as well.

:rose:

If you're seriously struggling, or just beginning your writing career, try some simple stuff. Mix it up.

Get-you-started Writing Prompts

* If you could be any person in the world, who would you be, and why?

* Describe a place you remember from your childhood.

* How did you meet your closest friend?

* Write a list of 25 (or just 5!) things you want to do in your life.

* What is something you do well?

* What would have happened if you didn't leave the house this morning?

* If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?

* What are your hobbies? Why do you like them?

* What sets you apart from the crowd?

* What do you want to be remembered for?

* What is the nicest thing you have done for someone?

* What is the greatest lesson you've learned so far in your life?

* If you could invent anything new, what would it be?

* Tell your life story from someone else's point of view.

* If you could have three wishes, what would they be?

* How would you spend a found $20 bill?

* What is the most exciting thing that ever happened to you?

* What is your favorite day of the week?

* How old would you be if you didn't know your real age?

* Name some things you are thankful for.

* What was your favorite childhood toy?

It does make me feel better. :D
thanks.

Thank GOD for this thread! I am trying to finish the Teacher's Pet series, and also have three stand-alone stories half-finished on this computer... It's not so much writer's block as writer's constipation -- lots of stuff going on in my head, but nothing's coming out!

Having trouble picking up where you left off? You may want to read back through your story and remember what it was that made you want to write about this particular plot. Don't force the storyline out if it doesn't feel right. Do something just to keep your mind moving.

Here's one: Write down every word that rhymes with "oration".
*hint* There are a LOT more words than you think. Don't use a dictionary or thesaurus. Work your brain. Your list should exceed two pages.

Not good at kicking. I could volunteer with a licking tho...

These seem like pretty innocent questions that would actually steer me away from writing porn. It would be good for writing something else, but I need to write a good stroke story. I haven't written one of those since April. Someone needs to come up with a naughty list of questions to get my porn-writing brain stirring. :D

Use the dirty part of your brain to answer these questions. I did. Some of the answers I came up with were pretty filthy!

Well, some of the questions -- no matter how you try to think them dirty, only kill the naughtiness. For example:

* What was your favorite childhood toy?, * What is the greatest lesson you've learned so far in your life?, * How old would you be if you didn't know your real age?

But, I can see the potential for some of the others. I'll give it some thought.

 I knew you could do it. ;)

So you need a good swift fuck up the ass? :D

LOVED this new PM babe. :rose:
I'd prefer it not-so-swift. But I won't be picky.

Thanks! I'm already impatient for the next one. :)

I don't need a kick in the ass to get any story started....I need it to get one FINISHED, dammit!
