I Miss...

Playing outside until the streetlights came on.
Riding my bike around the neighborhood all day. (Without my mother calling the cops to report me missing.)
Sleepovers and "tickle my back".
"Pumping" the swing as high as I could then jumping off, hopefully landing in the sand, not on the pavement where I'd scrape a knee.
Lots of bandaids on my knees.

I always love reading about women who scrape their knees frequently....;)

And I have similar memories, only trying to flip when I left the swing...lots of scrapes in lots of locations...:D

Her sitting on my lap, my hands on her thighs, sharing laughs, smiles, and deep hard kisses.

l miss the butterflies, l miss cuddling up on the couch stealing kisses, l miss pealing my clothes off and leaving a trail to the bedroom....l miss the passion.

I miss being able to leave the windows open all night on hot summers nights
Walking out the front door and leaving it open while you ducked down to the shops
Talking to your neighbors and knowing most people in your street
Petrol being cheap
When fun was rolling down a hill or spinning in circles until you were dizzy
When talking to girls was easy because they were just another kid

I miss her smile, the giggle only mums understand, the softest skin the baby smell. Rest in peace princess even though its been 10years I think of you every minute of every day.

I miss my childhood.....
I miss the carefree days of summer sitting on the bow of my boat with my toes in the water and not really caring if the fish are biting.
I miss going camping, eating toasted marshmallows and burnt hot dogs because you stuck them too far into the flames.
I miss the road trips with the windows down, the wind in my face and the 50s music my parents would have playing on the radio.
