So, Laurel, Siren, EBW, Purple Haze, Vixen, PC, Oliver Clozoff, Mischka, Never, sexy-girl, Mistress, Angel, Xander, Brainy Beauty, Myst, Darling Bri, Killer Muffin, shybabe, Dixon Carter Lee, Risia Skye, Gnfui Poppets, Dillinger, Funboy, CB, cymbidia and others (my apologies to those I have not named) who've been around here for ages and are unlike those who have 80 kagillion posts and have been at this board for say all of six months. You people who are never here are the only ones who might even appreciate what I am now saying. So, I'm sure it will fall on deaf ears.
I miss the goddamned fucking dollies. I bet that's something most of you never thought I would say. But, I do.
Dare I say it was personality segregation at its finest????? (I was going to say intellectual segregation - but that wouldn't be accurate)
In the past, we'd have the dollie threads, we'd have the political threads, and we'd have the flame ware threads (we'd also have the Todd threads - but that's a whole other story). What you didn't have was a flame war thread where the vapidity would overtake the good old-fashion flamethrowing and great comebacks.
Nor would you have the "dollie" people trying to create serious threads, themselves, and then starting with fucking discussions of how you want to anally fuck the other person (in a good way). I mean if a dollie person started a dollie thread it would stay a dollie thread, except for the occasional (or everpresent) bitch about the dollie people.
And the serious people might start their threads and wouldn't be invaded by dollies talking their talk and walking their walk except to moan and groan about "can't we have a separate political board" and "can't you talk about anything other than politics."
Now we have just this tangled bullshit mishmash where you don't know whether you're coming or going and it's just mindbogglingly insane (not in a positive way).
So bring back the goddamned dollies. It made things more "normal." It provided a sense of order to the Lit world.
I implore of you - I want dollies.
(and if the dollie hating brigade would come back as a result, I'd be greatly appreciative - at least I'd have something fun to read when I'm procrastinating during my normal Thursday night all nighter)
