I miss the Drive ins.

We still have a local set and make a point of taking our kids to it at least once per summer. Of course it's not what it was when I was a teen/young adult. Being country kids, we always had pickup trucks and would come up with creative ways to watch the show from the bed of the truck.

I have fond memories of one creative boy who put an old love seat in the back....god I'd hate to think how much mileage that seat saw....and how many stains. Okay...maybe fond was the wrong word.

Breaking in is more appropiate.

We nicknamed our Local Drive-In "The Passion Pit"

Was located on the main drag going through town about a block from here.

Many people were conceived here over the years.

It was tore down in the early eighties.

I finally have the perfect car for drive-in theatres (my teens have nicknamed her the Shaggin-Wagon), but no drive-in to go to.
You cannot possibly comprehend the disappointment :(

Ever try making it with the roof down?

And this is yet another reason I hang on to that crappy old Plymouth station wagon hidden from public view. Good memories.

A Rambler from the late 50s or early 60s? The front seat folded all the way flush to the back seat, making it one big playroom.

No, it's our latest restoration project - a 1981 Ford XD station wagon.
Fold down the back seat, and you can fit a full mattress in there :D
