I've been having these disturbingly realistic visions, usually something very macabre, images that pop into my head and seem to project themselves onto certain situations when I'm angry. This can't be normal. It always involves some violence to myself. I may be a little nuts.

I have the book that your AV is taken from... not a bad little book if you like a bit of crossover between BDSM and Fantasy.

As for being nuts -- visions are never a good thing, irrespective of what they contain. However, I suspect that the entirety of the human race is nuts to one extent or another, so don't feel at all alone.

probably not the exact right place to say this but Myst i love that AV, and like you i got lost in all three books. wonderful series.

Well dear visions may or may not be really bad ...Depends on how they manifest themselves????
And do you hear things with them???
Change in smell, taste, feeling???
Any of those means a quiet consult with the Doc might not be a bad idea..
I had experience with someone close to me having these problems..Hers were a result of a med imbalance..

Hope that helps some...

Well you're not alone..I'm nuts too... as is 99% of human population really

But trust me...hurting yourself is not a good way to fight with it

this happens to me too. in my opinion, the visions themselves are okay as long as you don't act them out. i would talk to a doctor, though. especially if they really bother you.

You're not the only one that'll get visions.

When truely angered I can see what would happen if I let of that part of me I keep in tight control. Bloody is a mild word for it. Not a good thing to see your former commander strewn across a parking lot, chunks falling from her flesh while the figure that is yourself laughs, coated in a wash of blood and thicker things.

*hugs*

Just because you see something does not mean it will come true. It is what could be or might have been or what may be, but not nessiserily what will be/was/is.

Ahhh Vix. *sigh* I knew I liked you for good reasons..Now I may just love you.*grin*

As for the visions..it is my understanding that they aren't "abnormal" unless you have trouble defining them as "not real"
As long as you are able to readily differentiate them from reality, you're fine.

as i have said many times in the BDSM posts...the people here do have mental problems, some more than others..

so Myst you should seek professional help and remedy your situation..

There's more then just me disliking my former OIC- she's a backstabbing two faced bitch who makes everyone who works for her miserable. Still- she's married to my Squadron comm, so can't say much, yet. Ah July, July I wait for thee.

Anyway- I like the Henrik quote. May have to use that in the future. Thanks, Hellbaby.

The majority of my favorite quotes deal with sanity or lack of it,I'm not sure if that's a good thing or if I should be worried:confused:

Well, part of the Modern BDSM creed is Sanity. So perhaps, as long as you're not in an institution (or should be) you're okay.

And besides, the mind is a beautiful, terrifying thing.

While discussing such things in a training session once we were told by a psychiatrist that it is not usually those who question their sanity who have a problem, rather the ones who feel they are perfectly justified in all they think and do who have real issues...so see, you are safe after all!!:)
