Bummer on the shop! Save up, it is nearly essential.

nope. I gave up looking. Deviant is hardly "deviant", but SOME great stuff there (and loads of crap) fun to look at, but seems that the convresation mechanism is weak.

I'll prob still dump some stuff here and eventually get the book printed (a couple copies) and that will suffice.

well I tried deviant NOTdeviant hahaha but the convo aspect is almost as important as the art, and I just couldnt figure it out so, even if you dont post drawings I enjoy talking here

I like blocking out scenes for erotic images..BUT tend to be too lazy to bother.

lots of sketching and erasing to get it right. A model or two would speed stuff along. I am always a bit envious of the artists who are able to utilize models. I remember seeing some thing on Alex Ross (painter....most known for his graphic novel superheroes..."Kingdom Come"...for instance).... and I was all "aaaaaahhh!" he takes photos.. for ref.

I feel like I am surrounded by psychotic, hormonal, demented... women!

Generally I have liked the idea of being surrounded by women, but this is crazy. No, actually crazy.

oh well... got work to do. Count my blessings.

Ever since this drawing:

, which is one of the few that does not have a "me" as the protagonist. I got to think of more of a pirate "story"... no real story line yet, just a vague concept.

So, the pirate is like the "bad-boy" hero.... Jack Sparrow...or....SAWYER! from LOST...all the women seem to love HIM. So then I think..ha! (I have watched LOST, just not THIS season, yet) one of the Dharma stations on the island was called "the Pearl"...ha ha ha ... and Jack Sparrow's ship was "The Black Pearl"!

So I make Sawyer the pirate with a tattoo of "the Pearl" Dharma logo (but with a black center). Sooooooooo. clever! (side note: There is a ship on the LOST island called "The Black Rock"...but that's a slave ship...ooo..more tangents...WOMEN Slaves...but in a good way....as if..hey a fantasy! of course maybe the woman pictured would be dressed or UNdressed differently....or she is some sort of wealthy "madam" anyway.... more plot bunnies)

Then....ok...hmmm... I can play on my morbid/martyr "fantasies".... from my youth, being rejected. So here is this gallant "good guy" (me)...traveling to some exotic islands to study , document and record, draw, wildlife...

The woman... umm... the beautiful Captain's daughter? Not a push over...haven't got to her details. She might be "fond" of the "good guy"..but the Pirate makes her knees weak!

Pirate boards ship.. they kill crew.. good guy gallantly tries to defend the woman... gets killed....sad.
But on the bright side! The woman gets the hot bad boy, the bad boy gets the hot woman and I get to "live" ALL the parts (in my head).

not much time to devote to this... just grab some quick sky shots from my iPhoto and the "Sea" is actually a reservoir... place holders.

I like how the sword was overtly mightier than the pen....but the whole "incident" is control by the "pen"...mine.

Needs some adjustments to the foreground couple. I think I see what I want to try, plus filling out the empty spots.. more rigging etc....

love the references to Lost. I watched the first few seasons, so it's cool that I "get" the ideas floating in your head. awesome rendering of the subject(s). can't wait to see it finished.
