I.M. Fauve Gallery

Beginning

hmmm...
do get this "right" (how I envisioned) I'd start over on nicer board and lighten the under pencil.

Need to finish corset color and seam...
The actual floral/paisley pattern is fun enough to want to be drawn/painted at a larger scale to capture that detail.

a bit more color.

I might give a go with some deep shadows. One of the orignal images (the primary face image) had deeper shadows that I like.

I generally woos-out on that.
Luckily I always have the scan..AND can pre-test concepts in Photoshop (or do a hybrid image).

sometimes (often) I'd like to just release the beast.
Take what I desire.

In my mind, of course, she wants it too.

I'm not actually into the rape scene.
It's the animal passion scene.

corset...next phase

made a quick print at 150% (scale) on a heavy bristol paper. No adjustments, just the straight from the scan.

Then using a watercolor brush, began manipulating the image and started in with a bit of water color

Printing on watercolor paper can help hold the position of colors a bit.
also, printing a lighter/less saturated image can allow a more controlled build up of color. The cyan (on this printer) tends to be most "volatile" — a very light printing of cyan, reacts very intensely with water. You can see how the watercolored image is less "warm". — (though the photos are not "balanced", as you can see from just looking at the paper).

I like the results, but more experimentation will give me the knowledge needed to get more what I intend or expect.

and still want to build up the black in areas....

maybe print out a few to try variations.

I like this one but this is a reposting, yes?

Dang. Very good clarity on that one. Love that you drew shadows and highlights

97% are repostings. I've been posting this crap for years.
The corset ones are recent (new)
