My life is an act of rebellion, animated by the desire to “strip away”, to discover what is hidden by the appearance of things, as though life was an onion from which layers are removed, only to discover that in the end there is nothing, only the wetness of the tears you have cried. I have felt alone, unique, like an anachronism, an error. Poetry, Dadaism, Surrealism, my first friends, my first love… I believed they comforted me when facing adversity. Thus my work has been, from the beginning, a gesture to learn to love myself. Without knowing, I adopted – and continue to adopt – a resilience of love.
