How often does music (esp a particular song ) remind you of a very special moment with someone? I just thinking of a very special lady and a Sarah Mclachlan song...

"I believe,
This is heaven to no one else but me,
And I'll defend it as long as I can be
Left here to linger in silence if I choose to,
Would you try to understand."

Anyone where i am?

Drops of Jupiter by Train always reminds me of my gf.

Hmm, plenty of songs do that for me...they usuaslly are songs I've sung for someone...

Depeche Mode - Enjoy the Silence was the first song I sang to my ex, so that'll always remind me of her.

Another that springs to mind right now is Jeff Buckley's Thousand Fold...

"There ain't a star born that brightens More than you, you always should have known

this happens to me all the time too. :)

Blue Monday reminds me of Sweet Rendevous.

Beautiful song.

"Tell me did the wind sweep you off your feet
Did you finally get the chance to dance along the light of day
And head back to the Milky Way
And tell me, did Venus blow your mind
Was it everything you wanted to find
And did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there "

You are so right, the lyrics are amazing, arnt they? ALthought, sounds a little like a love lost. So sad...

And how about Depeche Mode's "Somebody" (yeah the song with the heartbeat and all...)
Always reminds me of what i would like to find in love someday. Sigh...

It always seemed like a "pining" sort of song. Like there was something one-sided about the relationship, or that the person he's singing about is just too out there to notice him. Or... something.

Yeah. I love the imagery off "infinite space" It reminds me of how vast everything around us is - and how incredibly alone we can feel within that immaculate space.

Ever seen the show "Firefly"? (The recent movie Serenity was based off this show.) The themesong for that show is just awesome.

Doesn't ring a bell. I'll have to look.

The song Out of Exile and Yesterday to Tomorrow both by Audioslave reminds me of someone here on Lit. I was looking at pictures of this person when the songs were playing. So, now anytime I hear those two songs, that persons image pops in my head. Wonderfully Funny how the minds works.

Just for you... couldn't resist as it reminds me of my ex... What a coincidence.

" Beauty is what the eyes behold
And you burn brighter than most
I chased you thru the midnight streets
To be where I could speak freely
I didn't care what tomorrow held
I felt the world turning only for us
Only bliss now for you and me
Rise up let life's kiss send us reeling
And unlike the times before
From yesterday comes tomorrow
When life comes alive the past moves aside
No regrets and no remorse
We have more than everything
More than man or machine
More than luck
More than fiction
Higher than any religion

And unlike the times before
From yesterday comes tomorrow
When life comes alive the past moves aside
No regrets and no remorse
We'll squeeze the blood out of life
And say goodnight to the silver of old
Even when wrong we're right
Far beyond the world of diamonds and gold
I've come to realize
Where happiness lies
I want you to know I know
And unlike the times before
When life comes alive the past moves aside
No regrets no remorse "

Indogo girls

Undress
Me now
Before I bend
From the weight of everyman

When I'm walking through this world
I need to hold your hand
Let me take you on this ride
I hope you understand
I'm not asking for a compromise

(sings passionately)

I want you
I dont want anybody else
And when I think about you touch myself
Ooooh, ooohoooo, ooooohooohoooo, aaaaaah

New Order...Townshend...Zeppelin...Norah Jones

Anything by New Order - first love, first sexual experience which lead to many firsts...

Townshend - for the solo stuff that makes the toughgest break-up feel like yesterday...damn I miss her.

Led Zeppelin - especially "That's the Way" and "Thank You".... if I play these I usually tear up and then play it again.

Norah - just great mood music to feel better after a long day of work or travel.

Hope you don't mind the addition to the discussion.

Andy.
