I love Rock n Roll (OOC/ Casting Call/ revised version of Rockin and Rollin)

it had a cell phone number and a request to be texted the time and place of their next few gigs. It does not have his name on it though. The only way they could know it was him is if they knew his cell phone number or dusted the note for fingerprints and then matched the ones on the note with his that they get from somewhere, but that would be a lot of work.

lol, I guess only one person so far recoginsed my character in the bar. Oh, he isn't wearing sunglasses anymore. He looks normal. Plus he is standing right in front of the stage.

and its his stocker. Which she only recognized him becuase she is his stocker.

I'll wait until others have posted a response to the performance before posting again. By the way, the way you describe her thoughts, a little creepy. Good job. I need to go to my exam soon, so that's probably it for my posting until I get back home.

Well yeah she is a little creepy that way.

hmmm, not learning the lesson I was attempting to teach. Nana seems to have barely noticed the person on stage after the music was supposed to be over.

hmmmm, making me have to think then. He does not want to show interest in the groups yet, in case they attempt to do things to try and make him like one group over the other based on non musical things. So, if he goes up and says anything to anyone, it will complicate things. Especially Nana, since it would probably fuel her ego, which is the exact opposite of what he wants to happen to be able to consider talking to the record company about her band.

Don't worry about Liz she is just going to stock from a distance for now. She doesn't have the courage to make her move just yet.

Well, what fun is a stalker if she reveals she is a stalker right away? That would be no fun at all.

I am trying to deciede if I want Liz to throw something at Matthew or not right now. I think it would be funny if she did but I am not sure what to have her throw since she wasn't expecting to see him at the club.

I'm just going off what my character has seen and heard. He is trying to scout new talent for a record deal. He needs to pick the best.

lol, well if you do, I'm not sure what he would do about it. Especially if it is certain things she would have available to her at the time she thinks about it.

I guess Liam will have to be the one to pick up their payment for the gig as well as their tickets donated by my character. Allie also needs to remember to get her band's payment, the tickets, and the note about texting Matt the location at time of their next gig. Though, it does not have his name on it, it is just an anonymous note.

Liz is going to have tickets that she bought, I think it will be front and she will drag Lily along with her.

Trying to decide on a song list of some sort of Matthew's concert. I'll have him do about half original songs and half covers of jazz or rock pieces. Below is a list of possible songs for him to cover at some point in time. Later I am guessing/assuming there will be a battle of the bands sort of thing. I was thinking that for that there would be numerous rounds and during one of them all the bands in the contest do some pieces with a signed artist for the record company. So, if you see any songs in the list you would like to save for your pieces with Matthew during that contest some time in the future, then say so now, because there area lot of songs I like and would prefer not to use each one more than once.

Any song by the Beatles
"Sing Sing Sing" by Benny Goodman
"Don't Fear the Reaper" by Blue Oyster Cult
"Hooked On a Feeling" by Blue Swede
"Just What I Needed" by The Cars
"Tequila" by The Champs
"Do You Love Me" by the Contours
"Sunshine Superman" by Donovan
"Love Suicide" by Edwin McCain Band (nice sax part in it, changed so that part is more obvious, would need someone else to sing it)
"Mack the Knife"
"Don't Go Breaking My Heart" by Elton John (Would need female singer for duet)
"Cold As Ice" by Foreigner
"Fly Me To The Moon" by Frank Sinatra (Probably sung on his own as a lengthened version, one verse vocal, then a verse on sax. Alternating like that)
"December, 1963" by Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons
"Puttin' on The Ritz"
"Rich Girl" by Hall and Oates
"Grazing in the Grass" by Hugh Masekela
"Body and Soul" by John Coltrane
"Dance With My Father" by Luther Vandross (tribute to Vandross since he never got to sing it live, because he died)
"Every Breath You Take" by the Police (Would be funny because he has a stalker)
"The Girl From Ipanema" version by Stan Getz with awesome sax part
"Sir Duke" by Stevie Wonder
"We Didn't Start The Fire" by Billy Joel

that's it, for now. Not all of these will be used, but these are songs I'd like to use in Matthew's performances as covers of other bands. If you want to claim any of them for songs your band plays with Matthew during that round of the competiton that may or may not happen, but it is probably safe to assume something like it will eventually happen, then say you want to reserve it and I'll mark it down. Other than that, I'd like opinions on what songs for him to cover in his first performance added to his own songs.

I don't have that on my computer and am not hugely familiar with it.

lol, good, because if it hadn't been a joke I'd have wondered what you were doing in a thread about music and bands.

Yeah, but he would not be attempting to sing the songs as the bands did, he would be doing covers of those songs. Trying to preserve Rock and Jazz in a world controled by crap music like Rap and Hip Hop.

I think that sweet surrender should do every breath you take. And Liz convince Allie to at least let her do back-up for the song since Liz plays the bass. She could "sing it" to Matthew.

Would be really funny.
