They rolled and pitched like a roller coaster in anything more than a flat calm. If you had any tendency towards seasickness, a Flower class corvette would make sure you puked your guts out.

The last two Canadian Oberon subs being sent off, the lead boat is the Objibway, the first non-US sub to penetrate a nuke CVN screen to plot a torp shot, and get away scot free.
Those are the last of the Canadian pig boats that made the US, the Soviets, the Germans, all comers...their bitch. The North Atlantic belongs to Canada, we just need to remind y'all of that every now & then.

As you say... the RCN has "killed" a couple CVN's with castoff British junk. I suspect that that traditon continues with the "Upholders". :D

When the Rimouski & Ojibway were being drydocked towed through the lift bridge after their decommisioning in Hamilton, I was fishing in my kayak out front. It was a hilarious traffic.

"The HMCS Iroquois & Rimouski request an immediate opening"

"Can't you go under, you are still subs?"
