It makes me very sad when home made cupcakes are not allowed in the schools. There has been a Death Sentence attached to Home Made Cupcakes at schools.
It makes me quite sad.
I saw cupcakes with lurid blue and purple clumps of 'pseudo icing' the middle of last week. They were not tempting. Store bought.
For they stain the teeth and all surfaces they come in contact with.

I agree. Cupcakes used to be a wonderful thing. Now they are 'evil'.It makes me very sad when home made cupcakes are not allowed in the schools.
Bastards.Schools now require moms (or dads) to PURCHASE store-bought cakes, pies, etc., for the traditional bake sales in many places. No, not to stop people from putting poison and razor blades in the food, but because the Health Nazis can't inspect to see how much trans fat and other evil ingredients might therein be found, with respect to "home made" efforts.

I know, right?
The moms made much better cakes (including cupcakes (yay)) than any store!
And without the mutating effects of lurid frostings, too.
I generally don't frost my cupcakes.
No real reason, except that I'm lazy, I suppose.
Back in the day, when my children were school-age, I remember frosting cupcakes. It was satisfying.
Something about the whole making of little cakes was almost like a ritual.

I used to be crazy for them too until last i=time i made them, i ate a few licks of frosting just for the hell of it, then i was so crabby and pissed off at the world AND i craved sugar for 2 days after so now I just avoid them alltogether! downwith cupcakes!!!![]()
Now I want a cupcake..![]()
Will you feed it to me?The frosting is my favorite part.
Your cute, that pic was not, at least not to me.
Very very smart cupcake.
