Wifey is secretly planning a special birthday party for Hubby's 40th. To keep it secret, she is telling tales about her whereabouts, etc...

Hubby gets suspicious and approaches Wifey's best friend .

"I know she lied," he says...

what does the friend do?

I have a similar idea that I have been mulling over for a while.

In mine, it's the husband who is planning something and the wife is suspicious. After doing some investigating she jumps to a conclusion, then acts on it. When finished the husband springs the 'surprise' on her...

There are many ways this could go.

wow! there'd have to be a twist. the trick is what would it be.

great idea. ;)

I know...best I got is she flirts to distract him, they end up having sex, the guilt after...threesome... swapping- not very twisted.

i was just thinking about first person POV and beginning with catching her in the lie. the whole party thing could be the twist? the wifey's friend really wants the hubby and makes a play for him; he, being flattered by the attractive woman's attentions - after some deliberation, soul-searching, etc - succumbs.

the ending would prolly be cliched, but it's the best i got so far.
