Do you (assuming the reader goes for guys, or, if not, in purely scientific interest) prefer circumcised or uncircumcised penises? Why?

This question has always dogged me: is there one preference over another? Circumcision is more common in the United States than in Europe. In fact, I'd go so far as to say it's the "norm" in America, and definitely NOT the norm in Europe, unless you're Jewish.

Aesthetically, I prefer uncut to cut; I won't go so far as to say cut is a mutilation, but it isnt natural, either. In my experience, those who are uncircumcized do tend to be more sensitive and easily aroused with tactile stimulation. But frankly, it doesn't matter to me if they are cut or uncut, as long as they know how to use it and keep it clean.

P.S. (edited bit) I heard that doctor's in the US reccomend circumcision simply because it's easier to keep the infant's penis clean. Has anyone heard any other reasons why it's the cultural norm in the U.S., and not Europe? I mean, obviously plenty of uncircumcised infants grow up to be men with perfectly healthy penises, so what gives America?

Being uncut myself, I'm personally very pro au naturale. In the recent past I have had an opportunity to inspect a reasonable cross-section of penises of both fashion.

I cannot state with any real authority that one style is more sensitive than the other.

Doctors in the US have changed their views.

Though the majority of male babies born are circumcised, the American Medical Association has published that there is no medical reason for circumcism.

They used to say cancer rates were less, infections were less, venerial diseases happened less. Humph.

Thus, though my husband is cut, we chose NOT to circumcise our son. If our son chooses when he's older, he can have the procedure. It's up to him.

Hospitals still push it, many doctors still expect it, and we are currently in the minority.

I suspect not. We've watched a fair bit of porn. Some circumcisers are more skillfull than others and if you look closely, on many of the guys you can see where the foreskin was cut away. Some guys not so much. But there's usually some evidence of the proceedure having been done.

Mrs. 420 suggest that perhaps you are seeing it and just not recognizing it as such. It's the rare knife that cuts into human flesh and doesn't leave some sort of scar.

Next time you're watching porn, look closely at where the forskin would have been attached on the guy's cock. What do you see?

Although there must obviously be some scar, I have never encountered one that was noticeable.
